When you’re looking for a unique surface to complete the look of your home, look no further than granite.  Granite countertops are durable, versatile, and are available in a broad assortment of colors and patterns.

Granite, like most natural stone slabs, is porous, which means it requires sealing.  If sealed appropriately, granite will  be resistant to stains.  It’s important to consider the care needed to maintain your granite countertop during the material selection process.  That said, selecting a granite slab for your countertop usually comes down to aesthetics and working with the overall design of the room it will be incorporated into.

With granite, you can complete the look of your dream kitchen or special project.  You’ll find quality and beauty in our hand selected slabs.  Remember, granite has certain installation requirements, and, like quartz it is extremely heavy.  This means its best to trust the installation to the pros at Granite Creations.

QUARTZ

Quartz is a great stone for design.  It’s low maintenance, giving you the look of natural stone without the upkeep.  Quartz is among the hardest materials on Earth, making it one of the most durable options for kitchens.

Typically, a quartz countertop consists of ground quartz (90-94%) and polyester resins that bind and add color.  Because of this, quartz countertops are available in a broad array of colors, from neutrals like grays and beiges, to whites with grays, veined patterns to solid blacks, and everything in between. Sparkles can be added with recycled glass or metallic flakes to mimic the look of natural stone.

Because the resins make the quartz nonporous, your countertop will never have to be sealed.  Quartz countertops are also anti-microbial and resistant to stains and scratches.

It’s important to know that quartz is only suitable for indoor use, and to maintain the surface of the quartz, you should use trivets with hot dishes and appliances to avoid damage.  Due to the heavy weight of quartz, it should only be installed by professionals like those as Granite Creations.

When looking for a statement piece for their homes, many homeowners consider marble.  Marble countertops can provide a sense of luxury and elegance to your kitchen or bathroom.  In fact, it can also increase the value of your home. Because it’s more durable than vinyl or wood, it’s also a great practical choice.

Marble is also naturally nonporous, resistant to bacteria, and when sealed, is resistant to stains.  In fact, with marble countertops, there’s no need for the use of a cutting board.  Also, from a practical standpoint, marble is naturally cool to the touch, which is useful for cooking and baking.

Many people appreciate marble’s consistent “freshly cleaned” look and the fact that it’s easy to dress up if used as an eating surface.   Marble is very versatile and comes in a variety of colors.  While the most popular colors tend to be grays and browns, marble is also available in lighter colors like white, pink, and even yellow and orange to compliment any type of wood or other surfaces in your home.
